It was a fantastic day out at the Gaffer Gathering on Lake Pepin in Minnesota. 80F and sunny, fine wind and great company. Here's a couple of pics from the festivities.

Joan and I are getting settled in down in Palmer. Tomorrow we are going for a day sail on Big Lake. We'll be thinking of you while out on the water.

I believe there were 6 in our group. 4 Weekenders, a Skipjack and a Bolger Light Schooner. There was a seventh Gaffer out on the lake at one point. I don't know if Bill Paxton chased him down or not. Bill?

For those of you with the bandwidth, I've posted 3 videos (avi files) from the Gaffer Gathering. Ran out of disk quota before I could post the rest. Tried to pick the best of the bunch. 36 was from early in the morning. 41 was from the beach, while I was fixing my tabernacle while the rest of the gaffers were playing with the Mississippi River barge. I think I'm glad I was where I was. 42 was from later in the day, when the wind picked up a bit, sorry about the shakey video, but I was a little busy at the time. Here are the links:

Yah, sure youbetcha (practicing my Minnesooootan) you're welcome for the vid. I have another video of you single handing Julie K early in the day. I can burn all the vid's and pic's onto a CD for you if you want. I'll bring it with, or send me a private message with your snail mail address & I'll send it to you.

I've seen a problem before with Windows Media Player where it will not recognize the format when it is executed from a browser. You might try right clicking on the link for the avi file, then use "Save link target as..." to save the file to your local disk. Then use Media Player or Windows Explorer to open the file. This usually works for me.
