Motor Mount

Anyone got a picture of Phil Gowans' motor mount? I went to his site but the pictures related to that aren't there. Anyone else with motor mount pics to share?

I just bought a motor last night. Now I need to figure out the mount. I was looking at those folding mounts but they'd cost as much or more than the motor I bought. :cry:

Check out Craig's SV Sara Lee site he had one welded up that I think would work real well for you. I spent $250 for my double extension mount. The single ones would not take the torque of the 9.9 honda I bought. His design is tried and true. After welding the trailer, and the fact I bought a factory mount :roll: , I think I could build one like Craigs fairly easy.

My motor mount is really quite simple. I don't think I have any links to it directly, so I'm not sure what links are not working.

Here is a picture of the rear of the boat that shows my motor mount. It is basically like that suggested by the Stevensons. It is removable and works well for an electric. I have a new (actually quite old) seagull that I haven't been able to use yet. It looks like the mount might work for it, but I don't know exactly where the waterline will hit.

Thanks Phil. That's simpler than I was expecting but simple is good.
