help with positioning cs17 sheet blocks

gday all - well my new custom made alloy sections for the mats arrived today - you beauty! so will change hardware over and be back sailing soon.

i also want to change the main and mizzen sheeting arrangement back to the original design, as i reckon the previous owners design helped contribute to the mast bending exercise. i need some help with the exact measurements of hardware placement for the mizzen and main sheet blocks - specifically for the mizzen - how far either side of the centreline should the two blocks be and how far in from the edge of the transom? and for the main - how far either side of the centre line and how far from the front edge of the thwart? any good pics of the layout? - had a bit of a look but none are really clear and close-up.

For the main I set the blocks about 8" from the center line so that the sail could be closehauled with minimum downward pressure on the clew. This keeps the sail shape in best form when pointing into the wind. If closer to centerline the main sheet would get into the works around the centerboard triming equipment.

I find that the best closehauled boat speed with with the end of the sprit maybe 18-24 " from the centerline.

The mizzen is different. The backwind off the close hauled main allows the mizzen to be brought in much closer to the boat centerline. BUT, we've got the tiller back there and on some boats a motor too. To give the tiller maximum room to move the mizzen blocks need to be as far aft as possible. To get the sheeting angle the blocks need to be close together near the centerline.

And it would be best if the sheets did not get tangled up in the motor.

All this is why I run the mizzen sheet differently than the plans using a rope yoke to keep the mizzen sheet floating above the stern deck level.
