I have the plans for the Spindrift 10 as well, and I've built the centerboard, but have been stuck at that point for the last few months. I'm hoping to get started again soon; its a sweet boat! Tom Holder Posted February 16, 2004 Posted February 16, 2004 Ahh, dragons! The wisest and most terrible of all beasts - there are two that live in the woods behind my house. I've been sheltering them there for almost 12 years - a long time to us but an mere instant to such as they. Both distant relatives of Smaug but they don't often speak of him. His defeat was a bit of a black mark on all of his kind. If you happen across any unicorns, Tim, let me know. Dragons like them with a nice side salad - spinach, some orange, some cashews and a nice mandarin dressing. Quote

Hagan, and i like talking to my dad about what to do next, and tlking politics and what is happening in the world and little things like that. Oh and just a fair warning i sometimes am extemly random like all of the sudden saying the moon is made of cheese. any ways my favorite part of bulding boats is to sail them at the end. btw Edgar Allen Poe is my favorite poet! LLEAP (Long Live Edgar Allen Poe). i use the LL thing a lot, it can be used for many useful things[/u] Quote

I was into the lighter science fiction at the time, like Heinlein's stuff. I found I liked Poe when I was a little older ... so maybe you're more mature than I was at 13! You should be able to come up with some imaginative boat names! Quote

I also enjoy a good fire and do find mythology interesting (although I never finished Edith Hamilton Mythology in 9th grade, along with a bunch of other books I was supposed to read). Quote
