Wade Posted December 19, 2003 Posted December 19, 2003 Its progress. Not much, but I did some actual work on my CS 17 today. Laminated the centerboard. The skiff I'm completing is in the background. Have to repaint it. Learned first hand the folly of not reading all the old messages on this board. If I had, I would have known the industrial enamel wouldn't hold up and every leaf that fell on the boat left a stain. So I'm sanding it down and gonna put a better quality of paint on it. Wade Posted December 20, 2003 Author Posted December 20, 2003 Didn't mean to demean the centerboard. It does look like a tricky thing to build. Had to reglue one of my laminates this morning. Must have squeezed it too tight or didn't get enough glue there to begin with. Been sanding the skiff all morning. Hope to move it into the weight room tomorrow and paint it. Later, Quote

If you think of it that way, the boat will work right, and be right. Every mix of the glue, every cut of the wood, will be thought about, when you hope ask the boat to perform and hold up in that unanticipated squall or tide change chop. Quote
