Eric is back in business after the hospital let him out. So have put some more shots up today.

He is a bit perplexed as the centreboard is 25mm too wide ie across, to fit the case which is per the plans. Has measured everything so the best we can think of is that we will have a higher aspect ratio and less induced drag from the board.

I am sure it will make no difference.

Back locker looks good. I think it has been worthwhile. Going to put a rope locker in the bow on the starboard side with a drain to the mast base drain too. Think will leave the anchor on a bow fitting and just keep line/chain in the locker.

Bought a stock standard trailer in the end and shall lengthen the draw bar to make the whole thing go together. The back of the trailer will be under the rear bulkhead exactly so quite chuffed by that.

More news as it comes to hand.

Nice Progress Rob,

That stern is coming out nice. I can see that is a very versatile design.

I will be watching to see the chain locker concept develop. I like the Sea Pearl approach that keeps the anchor on a roller with the rode reachable from the cockpit area, making single handed anchoring much easier. I haven't figured out how to make this work on a CS.

Eric did the right thing by checking first if the board would fit the trunk and adjusting the board till it fit. I checked the drawings by dragging the board onto the trunk and lining up the pivot. It did fit, but not with a lot of clearance. Maybe when the trunk was fitted to the boat, enough ply was trimmed off the trunk to align with the seat tops so that the board became too wide to fit all the way inside. I have reduced the tip dimension down to 12 1/2" in case other builders have the same problem.
