In eastern PA it's 38 deg. and it's been raining for over a day so that half of the 2' of snow we got last week has melted. My neighbor is sick and it's raining so getting the wood is pushed back agian! [attachment over 4 years old deleted by admin]

I was on my family's Sunfish on a small lake when I realized how relaxing (there was no wind that day) it was. Of course I have been out when it was windy, when it not relaxing but fun and exciting. I'm not sure when or why I wanted to build one, but I did, and I did a lot of research on the Internet soon after. Why build a Weekender? Sailing is relaxing (mid-day) Sailing is exciting Excellent project for building expericance Free lodging Better use of time than watching TV For learning lumber yards' prices and quality Because your sick of the land You want a boat you can call your own Because I would rather be in the ocean than living here in Allentown They look beautiful Tired of just reading about boats That sums it up for me, especialy since I have yet to get wood. But this message thready is particularly important because I need to convince some people that this is a good idea in the next few days (mainly my father).

Prices around Allentown are about $1.51/Gal. On November 17th I bought gas at Sheetz for $1.24/gal (it was a new store, so they might have been luring customers). Last time I gassed up, Febuary 2nd, it was $1.49 at Texaco. I hope things cool off before I fill up again (I am at about a half a tank now). Anyone want to buy a Buick Century? ... all proceeds will go to the construction of my boat.
