Hi Marc, I am running twin 115's on my Ocracoke. Search for thread Ocracoke 256 #5 on the forum. The engine bracket is well and truly strong enough. We did add an extra layer of glass where the bracket joins the transom however it was just an extra precaution. One thing we did was move the console about 500mm forward than was shown on the plans and put the batteries (3) under the console not in the stern. Tim

Thank you both for your comments. Yes it is a fairly large top, we get a lot of sun in Vanuatu, however we think it is still in proportion to the overall boat (a lot of thought went into getting the dimensions right). It was built using Divinycell and only weights about 15 kg. We modified the stern jig to get a curved shape. Tim

Hi gbt, Can you please post photo's of how you have setup the steering on the engine bracket. In particular how you have installed the hydraulic steering cables as I am trying to work out the best option for this part of the build. Thanks Tim
