    BYYB site

Thank you all for your support and encouragement as we try to re-create the BYYB site. I am looking for someone who has expreience in moving tables between databases (MySQL). We have over 15000 messages on the BYYB site and can't access them directly because the encryption key on our scripts was clobbered by the hacker. I can, however, see the data and export it so I'm looking for some help in moving it to another database where we can access it.
  2. I used cheek blocks mounted on the mast at the same height as the cabin. Run the lines down the forward side of the mast (inside the gaff jaws but outside the retaining line) through the cheek blocks and over to guides on the cabin top.
  3. Laid the keel 3/10/2001 - hit the water 7/4/2001. Worked about 15 hours a week, probably thought for as much of that time as much as I worked. There aren't any really difficult things to do - just some confusing ones. Make sure you understand what you are going to do before you start each step and things will go well.
  4. Here's a link to a website showing what the unitiated can expect from Sable Island http://www.oceanpilot.com/sable/index.html - doesn't look too fun to me!
  5. I have been stupidly caught in a fast moving WILD thunderstorm in my weekender. Reef that sail and hang on - but the boat handled it better than I did. While I wouldn't recommend a weekender for "Big Water" sails, it is much more stable than any other 16-20 footer I have sailed. Does it defy "Conventional wisdom"? Absolutely. Is it the "Death trap" that many uninformed critics would have you believe? Absolutely not! Sail one - you just might be suprised.
  6. I like the new look Frank - you'll like the no-maintenance aspect of PHPBB.
