He enjoyed the time with the 1/181st, and he liked the country around there. They really liked the Kentucky Derby. We enjoyed our short vacation there over Easter, lots of great food. I hope Osyter's son makes it back soon, he has been keeping me posted, it sounds like they are planning the BIG party for when they get home. Quote

I had a hard time holding my own, against the red-greens, :wink: but did what I could to man the homefront, till they took over the other site. We got into our new place, and building a new shop at home. I will be glad to finally have what I want in my own yard. Its a slow go with one income, though. We are planning to come up, but it will be mid Sat, at the earliest. Travis has bandcamp at East Carolina that week, concert at six on friday, and then we will leave on travel part way that evening, and then on up in the morning. Howsabout anyone here in your area, from this site, joining us that weekend. I am not sure of the drive for some, but it will take us about seven hours from the school. When we heard from our son, it looks as though it will be last week in July for homecoming. We had about 2500 Marines come in this weekend. The town did a nice tribute for them. The airwing had been coming home for about two weeks. This little bitty area was cleaned out for a while. Its nice to see some friends back. There is still a lot of work to be done. Some are going back over in four weeks. We still have a cousin, and a classmate of my son in Kuwaitt, now, though. We are planning an old fashion pig cooking for my oldest, and a couple of his roomates upon return, and if you can get down this way, we have a place for you and gang, and plenty of the best pig on the spit you will ever put into your mouth. Sorry about the file. I have the same problem, here. It hs not stopped raining for about two months, and the water has been effecting the telephone lines, so slow at best is the rule of the day, mostly.
