How much paint will I need?

I am ready to get some custom mixed enamel for my 15' kayak. 

 

How much will I likely need? If 1 quart is not enough it may be cheaper to get a gallon instead of 2 - 1 quart cans, even though much of it would likely get unused.

I just built the 12' Freebee, got 2 quarts, two colors, red for top, grey for bottom. I've applied 3 coats on top and bottom of the boat and I still have a few pinholes i need to cover. 2 quarts was the perfect amount for me, I have a comfortable amount of paint left.

I would need less than 2 quarts but more than one.

Thanks, I just bought a gallon. It was only $3 more than buying 2 quarts. And - I have another boat to skin and another build in mind. So ...I may end up with 3 'burnt orange' boats.
