Travis Posted May 15, 2003 Posted May 15, 2003 If anyone is interested in experimenting with lug sails, Marine Concepts (makers of the cat ketch Sea Pearl 21) is having a "yard sale" and offering a set of Sea Pearl lug sails with wood booms for $200. I think the sail area is a little bigger than the CS17. I think it's about 135 sqft, but I'm not positive, nor do I know the size difference of the mizzen and main. I don't know how hard it would be change over from the sprit booms or if it would require different masts, rigging, etc., but thought I'd mention it to the group.
