I tried blowing the dust bunnies outta my brain - didn't work. I have forgotten which plywood side the manufacturer affixes the label/stamp? A side - B side?

Also - nay hints on best way to clear off sticker labels such as Joubert?

Actually, fresh batch Joubert stickers will peel off real easy. I normally wipe the area with acetone just to be safe. If the sticker is on there fast I just sand it off followed by acetone. Never had problems with epoxy adhering. I don't know about A/B sides with Joubert - I go by grain pattern since both sides are so close in quality - in fact most times it is impossible to tell. The Chinese stuff Graham got into while back the A/B was really obvious- the B was hardly sanded at all. Great pity since the veneer is so thin. But since most of my plywood will be painted I did not care.Peter P

Acetone - now I remember - worked on stickers before - Brunzeel maybe? You are right - hard to tell A from B with Joubert. Wiley salesman at AV Mill Outlet showed me the Joubert and I decided it seemed a tad more bendy-flexible than the 4mm Chinese stuff I had before. That batch did not want to bend nice cross grain, probably because the inner ply was thick. Joubert is more balanced in ply thickness.

Lighter too. Checked in 1 1/2 lbs. lighter than the 4mm Chinese stuff. And I miked it - okay, 4mm Chinese scored about 4.3 mm average, Joubert came in a few hundredths under 4 mm. Nice wood. I figure the of-brand good for flatish panels but I believe I'll go with Joubert for bendy tasks.

Stamps on three sheets of okoume I just got from boulter all look like B side. I think that has been the case previously too but would not swear to it.

B side would make sense, but I checked a few of my Joubert sheets and it's a no call coin flip.

The last 5 sheets of Joubert that I got from Graham did not have sticker on either side. For the life of me I could not tell one side from the other. The sheets did not bend well, and would spinter on the stressed side, and crack where the folds terminated.
