I took the liberty to post you photos rather than links.Looks good. If you don't mind I am going to add them to the Builders album on my web site.

What skin is that? Weave looks course in the photos so it doesn't look like my polyester but could be? If you ordered from, no I don't remember. To many orders to keep remember who did what. What finish?

That is a 12 oz ballistic nylon, which is fine but I now understand is overkill. Very hard to cut, even unfinished. The finish is the 2-part urethane from the Skinboat School. That stuff is amazingly durable and amazingly hard to put on well. In fact, I have now painted over it with Brightsides poly and the boat looks much better. Taking pictures tomorrow. But I will never puncture this boat, I'm sure. Next time I will try the Petit 2-part poly.

You have designed a very nice boat, Jeff. My fishing buddies can't keep up with me, and they envy how I can carry down to the shore instead of dragging it like their heavy plastics.

ROFLOL, now you know why I fell so in love with these boats! I assume your buddies on in SOT Tupperware boats. They are nice for fishing but the one I have seen are slow. That boat will smoke them for sure!

12 oz skin is a good skin and no you will probably never have to replace it. I use polyester on almost all of mine but the nice thing with the 12 oz is you can be rough with it and not worry. You would probably break a stringer before you damage the skin. I have it on my Curlew and I will put that boat just about anywhere and run it across most anything.

I have never used Cory's Goop because I heard how hard it was to apply. Of course I hear how tough it is too. One thing I just read was it has a very low UV tolerance. So don't store it outside! Several people said it broke down in one summer if stored in the sun.
