Latest project nearing the end

Nearing the end of my latest project. This boat has taken forever! I have been working on it, documenting what I did with photos. Then go write it all down for the manual. I could have had 2 or 3 built in the same time span.

But I finally have the skin on the boat. I am trying a plywood coaming this time so this is new to me. I am working out the details now. Once I get that installed I can finish it up.

While you can't see the lines of the boat really clearly, I can see enough to know I like the changes I made. I had a flat rear deck and peaked this one just a little so I could get in my dry box and a dry bag behind the seat easier.  I changed the deck in front of the cockpit and this one looks much better. I think the changes are going to be improvements!

I am also using a polyester skin material instead of a nylon. This is a very loose weave so you can't pull it tight. Have to depend on the skin to shrink tight and that has required me to learn a new method of sewing it on. I have sewn it up and taken it all out twice on the back of the boat before I figured out the best way to sew it.

Should be on the water soon though.

This is the first prototype besides it's revised sister.
