Hi Travis,

I just responded on your other forum site but I will back it up here. I love your boat. She is beautiful and was such an inspiration to me when I started my boat project.

I just completed my CS17 with and added skirt and cuddy. I love the way you have rigged the sprits so that when you have the sails dropped the sprit is still suspended. How did you rig that?

I assume that you have some kind of halyard from the masts to the aft end of the sprit. I would love to do the same thing. I hate how everytime I drop the sails the sprits bang around on the cabin and in the cockpit.

Once again I love your boat.

What's not reflected in those photos is the thinking and planning that went into those improvements.  I watched some of that project in process and only understand some of the planning required to make this work.  The mast/sprit system is very very slick.

Howard, I plan to take PILGRIM to the COOTS/BOOTS get-together on Lake Texoma Sept 16 - 20.  We will sail out of Cedar Mills Marina

Some of us may sail on a short Wed thru Fri cruise (or not - this is a laid back group ), but most boats will show up Fri afternoon or Saturday and most will leave Sunday afternoon.  There will be a pot-luck dinner Saturday night.  There is a nice campground there with good, clean showers and also they rent nice, clean cabins.  There is a good restaurant there, too.  So, come on down.  There will be plenty of boats to sail on, including PILGRIM.  This is a great group of folks - you would enjoy being there.

Anyone else that would like to attend is also welcome - bring your boat or just come along to visit and sail on OPB.

Thanks for the great advice and the wonderful example of Pilgrim to try to follow. Maybe I will build a Princess 22 or 26. I am curious why you chose a 22 over a 26? Any particular reason...
