Vacationer: any plans for trailer?

Hi, I'am Marcelo from Argentina, I need plans for build a trailer for my Vacationer (http://www.mibarquito.blogspot.com).

This is a good way to build your own trailer.  Glen-L  has had at least hundreds of trailers built from their plans.  And they are cost effective.

Thanks Barry, Glen-l have a lot of plans and the price is low.  I want any trailer which was tested in a vacationer, I 'am worried about the axis  position. Is can see several pictures from stevenson's boat trailers  without concordance in this point. The vacationer need two stringers for keel and bottom support and this is not included in tradittional trailers.

Are you asking about the location of the trailer axle?

I apologize.  I completely forgot about this question.

I went out tonight and took the measurement for you.

I don't know if Argentina uses Metric or SAE, so I'll give you both.

From the bottom of the transom to the center of the axle is 8ft 9 inches.

That's 2.64 meters.  (Check my conversion to be sure it's correct).

I measured from the bottom outside corner of the transom.

I believe the center of gravity of the Vacationer is approximately 9ft 0 inches

That's 2.74 meters.

I remember working this out in the shop 9 years ago.

I balanced the boat upright on a round piece of pipe under the keel and rolled it forward and backward until I found the balance point.

One more thing I will add:

My trailer is not as long as the boat.

The last meter of the boat hangs over the back of the trailer.

Nothing about the trailer needs to be exactly perfect.

The Vacationer doesn't weigh very much.

It's under 400kg.

In all honesty: NOTHING AT ALL on these boats needs to be perfectly measured.
