It's great to see your enthusiasm but your questions give us no information about you and your plans for your boat. We're a friendly bunch here and certainly don't mind helping out but it's getting to feel like a one way street.

Tell us a little about yourself. It sounds like you have a cruising boat, what kind? How long have you been sailing? Where do you sail most of the time? Heck, somebody here is probably located near you. most of us here post some info on the profiles so we can find out a little about the persons we are talking to.

How about your family, are your kids interested in sailing? Are they helping build the boat?

Hope you don't take this as nosy. I've virtually met a lot of interesting folks here, I have an idea you may be one also.

If I'm asking too many questions or my questions are too dumb please let me know. I'm certainly capable of making my own mistakes. I was just hoping to not make boring mistakes.

I have a friend with a 30' Catalina we sail out of Westbroook CT. I sailed some 30 years ago, lived aboard that sort of thing. Started sailing with a friend last season on a 27" Catalina about 4 times a week.

Kids are grown and mostly gone but my son is around if I really need him.

I live in Madison CT and anyone comming this way is welcome to check with me to see if we can free up a spare room if you are in the neighborhood. The wooden boat show is comming soon and I plan on attending.
