Centerboard stop??

I temporarily placed the centerboard in the case to determine how much I will need to remove from the king post.

I noticed that the centerboard on the drawings is shown with a good rack aft in the down position. I do not see a stop on the drawings. My case will allow the centerboard to go vertical. Have I missed something, again??

What controls the centerboard position when down and what position should it be in when sailing, vertical or racked aft as per the drawings? If racked aft, how much?

Also, no stop is needed because cb is under positive control: one line pulls it down, another up.  If both lines are left loose, cb (being unweighted) will float up into the trunk.

One other thing is to control the maximum down position simply use a stopper ie figure 8 knot on the rope that is used to hold the board UP... ie work out how far you want it to go then put a knot.. As you pull it idown you can only go that far.. This only works if your up rope like the down one goes through 180 degrees at the front forward of the centreboard.
