Travis Votaw Posted August 15, 2007 Author Posted August 15, 2007 John, the motor is a standard length shaft and it works fine at that length. It allows the top of the motor transom to be considerably below the seat and bridge deck tops which is a GOOD thing if you happen to fill up the cockpit with water ;D. It tilts up with plenty of space for the lower unit to clear the bottom. I can't remember for sure, but I believe Charlie Jones (builder) may have installed the motor transom after he got measurements on the engine. If Charlie reads this, maybe he will respond. As far as I know, the tiller and rudder are per plan. It clears the engine fine, and I would not want it to be any lower anyway. Quote
