For a long time I've figured to build me a Spindrift to complement my cs20, but the more I think about it (especially after my kayak trip up the Taunton), the more I think it'll be something really different: a kayak or canoe (maybe a couple). I am late 40s and not in great shape, so I'm looking for a fairly forgiving, light-weight, easy-to-use, very portable boat for lakes and rivers and thin water. I naturally think of Graham's birders, but I have nothing to compare them to. Anybody know what's out there, and how they compare? Mind you, I'm into boating more than building, so I'd want a fairly easy build. Quote

Charlie Jones Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 I built our two birders in 4 weeks, for both of them. Another similar boat is the CLC Mill Creek. I chose the Birder because I liked the arc bottom better than the one on the Mill Creek. Hopefully the storms will go away tomorrow and I can get some pictures of the finished boats. Quote
