Jim Stumpf Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 Been letting the bottom paint cure for a couple of weeks and I am getting ready to roll the boat upright and set her on the trailer. I took a week off to sail at Pymatuning with the Cleveland Amateur Boatbuilding Society but it is time to get back to work. Here are a couple of shots of the blue bottom, the white sides are just primer. The sketch is the proposed paint scheme that we came up with, I am trying to make the sheer look a little longer and reduce the scale of the high freeboard at the coaming. I am open to suggestions from some of the artsy crowd. The designer just has the water line and a heavy stripe at the sheer. Thanks, Jim Quote

It was drawn up and built by a fellow in MD in the early eighties, he does not sell the plans and is not avaliable to discuss the design. I purchased the plans from Midwest Engineering, they sell all kinds of unusual plans from ultra light planes to subs. http://www.digitalmarketingusa.com/k15.html As far as a micro cruiser she is much smaller than my Vacationer but the cabin feels pretty big. Jim Stumpf Posted October 20, 2006 Author Posted October 20, 2006 Awe shucks, I didn't know you cared. I have been busy with little details like the cockpit hatches and such. The boat is currenly upright on the trailer, the topsides are glassed and waiting primer. I have all of the rigging put together and ready to go on. I hope to order a bow pulpit and sails by next weekend. I have commited to display the boat in the Cleveland Amateur Boat Building display at the Mid America Boat Show in January so I better get my butt in gear.
