I just uncovered my Vacationer for the season and took the opportunity to take some photos. It only seems right to share them as I love to look at everyone elses.

Beautiful boat. How long did it take to build? I am new to this forum so I don't know the history of many forumite's boats and documented builds.

The boat was started in 1997, titled at the end of 2002 and launched in the spring of 2003. I am really not the slowest builder on the planet but the building season here in NE Ohio is shorter than in some of the rest of the country and I took some time off to build some other boats. I built and glassed 2 six hour canoes to get on the water and to practice laying up glass. I also built a sailing Pirogue designed by Bolger so that I could start learning to sail. But I finally finished the Vacationer or least finished as so much as any boat is finished in 2003. Last summer I added the tiller and traveler modifications.

Here is a late fall paddle with the Pirogue and one of the six hour canoes, my youngest daughter is wearing an ear to ear hot chocolate mustache, this was taken about 4 years ago.

It took me over 3 yrs to build the Simmons. One year off to replace stolen tools,2 busy hurricane seasons and waiting to save enough $ to get as much material as I could get shipped at one time. The small boats look great as well. Great pictures .

Kids are so cool at that age,aren't they? Cool hat!
