Was anyone out on Lake Washington this past weekend?

I saw a gaff rigged boat with tan sails out by Kenmore on Saturday. It was a long way off, but it looked like a Weekender. Someone from this list maybe?

There are two Weekenders in the Bothell/Kirkland area that it might have been. Both sail the North end of the lake. One is Capt. Ron of Kirkland and the other is Jim who lives up Bothell way. Both nice people with good boats but not much on participating in the forums.

I exhibited at the 4 July CWB Festival for the first time, and this country boy stupidly believed I could sail the dory across the lake to the Sunnyside Ave boat ramp after the show ended at 6 pm on the 4th.

Shucks....by 4 o'clock I coulda walked across the lake gunwale to gunwale.

Had to come back and get the boat the next morning, which was almost as bad. Half as many boats to weave thru....but all of them hung over.

I was invited to the CWB festival last year and passed just for the reasons you stated.

Our sail teh other day out of West Seattle was really good, once you got out past al of the boat traffic. Couldn't figure why there were so blasted many ferrys and then it dawned on me, the Hood Canal bridge was closed. :shock: Just get moving on a good tack and would have to stop as to not get in their way.
