Andrew Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 So i'm almost at the 'turn her over and glass the bottom phase' but I'd like to know if it can be 'too cold' to glass. Here in the ACT it's just starting winter and the overnight temps are dropping to just about 0C (32F), is this too cold? Should I put the heater on overnight? Should I wait 'till spring? Stump Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 I epoxied mine in the winter, such as it is, his in the U.S. NW. Day tempetures were in the mid 40's and 50's. Got down to about 32 at night sometimes ( all temps in F degrees of course ). I used a 4-1 cold formulated weather epoxy from RAKA. Maybe I just got lucky but I never had a problem. Always was dry to touch by the next day. Good luck! Quote

Tidmarsh Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 I also used the RAKA cold weather epoxy during the winter here, in temperatures around 40F to 50F during the day. The epoxy gets pretty viscous at those temps; I thinned it with xylene, but in retrospect, warming the epoxy would have been a better choice. Quote
