ken connors Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 the original reason for the doors on both sides was a deterrent against flood damage. im suscepitible to tidal surges during the hurricane season. its better to let the water flow thru freely rather than trap it in there and allow it to lift the house off the pilings.(at least thats how i sold it to the wife) the walls of the garage are also engineered to blow out under a certain amount of pressure. in the 11 years since the house was built, no surge has even been enough to make it into the garage, but ya never know...... Sammy's are my favorite brew also, but i like to save them as a special treat. Bud's are fine for breakfast........ :wink: Quote

Guest Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 Well, my impartial judge[the misses] says the girlie side says the "Boat in the Smoke" is the winner. But she also says that Capt. Jake had a lot of nerve to put that coffee table in the water, and wants to know if he received a Purple Heart for it. Clipper's shot reminds her of the days in south Florida, sanding and painting in the hot and humid weather. Ken, thats a lot of clamps. :shock: Thanks for the shots, guys. I'll send you my snail mail address in a direct message. Well actually it wasn't my work it is Doreen's (my better half.) The crew and I were manning The Flyer following John onto the lake. As for the book, Usually the marketing and promotional departments receive most of the rewards while the model receives the glory. The cameraman (or woman) gets their days due and are sent off to the next assignment. So as the marketing department and the model it only seams natural that John gets the book. Maybe he'll let us read it though. Quote

According to the proper folks at the mighty fine :roll: postal service, it was supposed to take three days. But original reports stated also it could take five weeks. I ask them was it going by bicycle and messenger service? Gee its only another state in the union. I told them you had internet and electricity, and thought you even indoor plumbing. Quote
