To deck or not to deck?

Got my plans for Hull #66 and have looked them over. I was just looking at the Core Sound 20 web site and thinking about decking over the back of the boat or whether I want to leave it open.

I like the look of the deck better. But the open design looks more functional. Easier access to an outboard. Of course decked over I can hide a small outboard underneath.

While this is personal preference what did you chose and why? I am looking for pro's and con's of each design. If it matter I expect to single hand it most of the time.

My 17 is being built decked. Besides the good looks we needed the storage for our planned camping trips. Originally I had thought that the aft deck would prevent people from crowding aft and causing the transom to drag, but my wife and I are already eying the aft deck as a great place to loaf in a light breeze

I am leaning toward a deck. I like the way it looks and I am thinking bright finish. That means more bright work on the top sides.

I don't need the storage for day sailing. But it doesn't hurt to have it either.
