Back at it

Well, after a winter of lethargy, too much performing, and a chilly garage I attacked the Svenska Flicka again this past week. First, a whole lot of clutter had to be removed from the hull bottom as it seemed to have attracted every object that came in the house without an assigned home. After that, I attached the transom and dry-fitted the deck in place. Good grief, it actually looks like a boat. Right now, it's time to do some minor cutting and fitting and making of small parts, then the whole thing can be glued up and the sides put on. Maybe Labor Day is not an impossible launch date after all.

Good for you Steve! Glad to see you are back at it. Long days of teaching take their toll on the building process I bet.? Looking forward to seeing your progress. Look at Adla's posts for inspiration on getting things done in short fashion (in a very good way Adla)!. Amazing progress going on there.

Speaking of work getting in the way; I am in the middle of 70 hours to be completed in 4 total days (96 hours). I am getting tired..... Then a lesson plan to be developed on the next day off, to be presented the following day. Techy stuff and I am feeling Frank's pain. .........snore........

Nice to have you back Steve. A nice summer awaits. Plan on coming to the Olympia Wooden Boat Fair the 7/8/9 of May. Capt. Jake is actually going to launch "Fire Escape" on the 7th. and exhibit it at the Boat Fair in the water that weekend. :shock:

I plan on being there on the 7th and the 9th. Would be nice to meet in person.

I hope to get there for one of the three days, but the 7th is a work day and the 8th may be a "Camelot" rehearsal. Perhaps after rehearsal or on the 9th. Who knows... if I miss a Labor Day launch, maybe it'll be me at the Oly show next year?
