Charles, I didn't follow your plight, as I was in the process of building my shop, at the time. Man, thats right across the tree line at the house. The shop ain't got a pray with that pine tree. What a bugger. But at least the winds have dropped down. Maybe the strom will speed up, before making landfall. It appears that these buggers have hit us mostly in the nighttime. Thats the worse case scenerio for us. The sounds seems to magnify in the dark, as my sons have said in th past. Now to roll the dice with my boat, now, Tom. I may take the boat to the Senior Citizens parking lot and hookl it up to my wife's car. You keep safe with that crazy ever changing river over there. Thanks Phil. Hurricane Hazel in 1954, I think, was one for the books in damage, but I am not sure of the water amounts. I am on a remote line and computer, so maybe we will have limited communcations to the outside world, after the facts. I don't know what the cells will be doing, this time. Will talk later. Quote

But I would also guess that the birds are starting to leave. They seem to know sometimes. It will be a week or so before they come back! BTW, the image above seems to update itself... not the 1933 one, but the one near the top. The marker for 72 hours is predicted to slow to 55 knots, but it still looks like 100knots as she hits. The real killer is the 12 foot seas! It would be nice if it were low tide when she hits! Good luck guys! Be safe! Quote
