Scarf joint

Recommended Posts

Spent the morning cutting up the 3/4x3/4 stock that I will use for the build also cut the 1x3/4 stringers then set to task on how I would cut the scarf joints. Went back to the house and watched a few videos just to get an idea, back to the shop got out my table leg taper jig and a few clamps and made my setup the clamps hold the parts safely and it only takes about 90 seconds to clamp and run a part thru the saw perfect joints every time.for me this method was the most accurate and fastest way about it.still had time left at the end of the day to glue material for the port light trim rings to see how I was going to make them.
