David Jones here, owner of this fine boat built with skill and care by Don Sisbe. I couldn't have found a better builder, his skills were matched by his integrity and his imagination in the design and improvisation segments of which there were several. If it didn't turn out perfect he redid it. We didn't always agree on things, but we would video conference and work out our differences. It's hard to find a close working relationship a thousand miles away. So, my dream boat is done and I give many thanks to Don for making the dream come to reality.

An addendum to what I wrote above..... IDK if you have temporarily screwed the bulkheads to the sides, if so maybe you'll have to back out some of the screws to let the whole ama "work" a little bit to get into it's new alignment. If it wasn't clear before, a tapered 2x4 would be wedge shaped starting narrow then wide and could be gently tapped down, tightening the rope, to see if the desired alignment can be reached. If it doesn't stay there permanently, you may have to leave on the rope until the glue is dry.

From the pictures, I'm assuming everything is "trial" loose fitted together. So if you could bend the ama very slightly inboard you could straighten it out and make up that 1/2 inch. So, how about a slightly slack rope around the bow and stern of this ama that could be propped out with a 2x4 in the middle to put some lateral force inward on the offending bulkhead . Leave it overnight and see if it will hold it's new position enough to glue it in place tomorrow. Even some WA ideas work sometimes.

Hi, I'm David Jones owner of this Seaclipper 16. I live right next to a lake in Dallas TX in a Senior Living Center. Daily, I look out my window and see sailors in their boats enjoying the winds. As a sailor myself, in years gone by, I itched to be on the lake too. I wanted a trimaran for it's stability and quickness on a puff of wind, but no commercial entity caught my eye. So, why not build one. Don Silsbe was one of the people who answered my ad for a builder. He showed me builds of several of the boats he has built....needless to say, I was impressed! We corresponded back and forth over hundreds of emails and settled on this design as something he could build over the winter. My son-in-law also lives in NC and will bring the finished boat to me in Dallas. We have a contract for this project and the decision making on construction details and how the money is spent is all laid out. I feel very fortunate to have found Don to build this dream of mine, and as this will satisfy his "need to build" it is a win for both of us.
