Peter, One thing I'd like to hear/see more detail on is what looks like a motor (or just motor mount?) on the port-side transom. Detail picture would be appreciated. Also: what happens if your motor is mounted and you capsize? (I've had an outboard go into salt water and the consequences weren't pretty.)

Can anyone tell me what "P&S" represents, as used in Graham's "General Construction Guide" for CS 17? "Cut Out and Install Cockpit Framing and Sides, P&S"

PeterP - re your instructions on leveling the boat: I follow you up to the point you say "Use several winding sticks to make sure your boat is not twisted." Could you expand on "winding sticks"?

Plans arrived today; kit will be here (northern Vermont) soon. The adventure begins. Just wanted to announce myself to this forum, on which I've been a "lurker" for a couple of months. Expect lots of dumb questions/pleas for help in the near future. Bill Clark Shelburne, VT
