I just recently got the Diva and I haven't paddled it much yet. I didn't build the Diva. It was actually built at the community college that Graham is affiliated with. The Diva paddles extremely well. It seems to be a well rounded, general purpose sea kayak - just what I need. Most of my paddling experience has been with whitewater (25 yrs) in the NC mountains but as I have aged my attention has strayed futher east to the sounds and streams of eastern NC. If you are interested in paddling eastern NC the book Paddling Eastern North Carolina by Paul Ferguson (2nd edition) is a must have reference. It doesn't cover much in the sounds but it does extensively cover all the river basins. I have seen the postings regarding the Diva2. I am toying with the idea of building one over the winter. The wife would paddle in a tandem but not a solo. Gary
