Day Tripper

I am interested in making the Spindrift 11 N. What do you think of bonding closed cell foam bonded to 1/8" ply and building it out of that (glassed both sides with 4-6 oz cloth)? I would put the ply on the inside and fill the chines on the outside with wood before classing the outside.
