  1. Chick, all - please drop me an email at pippo dot bianco at libero dot it . I'll send you the complete list with links to each boat's web page, if available. Shipping price would depend from destination and kind of shipping (DHL would cost much more than airmail). My price would be 60% of the current selling price, or less.
  2. I have on sale more than 25 original boat plans which I have never used to build a boat. All plans are for plywood/epoxy sailboats, 14' to 30' LOA, monohulls, catamarans and trimarans. Mostly trailerable, several cabin boats. All plans are original plans in mint/as new conditions, purchased from very reputable designers: Wharram, Oughtred, Mertens, Welsford, Storer, Bolger, Byrnes, and several others. A few of those plans are in digital format (DXF or PDF) and have been purchased directly from the designer as well. Most plans are still in their original envelope with my postal address on it. Would sell for 60% of the current value, plus shipping. Further discounts for those who buy more than one plan.
  3. I'm looking for an unused set of James Wharram's plans: TIKI 21 or TIKI 26. Would consider buying and/or exchanging.
  4. I've put my boatbuilding career on hold, and would like to sell my collection of boat plans, all original and unused (Mertens, Isles, Welsford, Storer, Glen-L, Dix, and others). If interested, drop me a PM with your email or send an email at pippobianco[at]alice[dot]it and I'll send a detailed list of the plans on sale.
  5. That might be the only viable solution. Would you still use inflatable rollers to make things easier? And, would you expect the CS15 to be significantly easier to haul than the 17?
  6. How practical/feasible would it be to keep a CS17 on a sandy beach, push it into the shallow water (on inflatable rollers, maybe) when needed, and haul it back on the beach at the end of the day? How many people would be needed to do this? (No ramps nor moorings around here, sorry )
  7. The similarity is with the CK17 more than with the CS17. My intention was to demonstrate that the CK17 is not that "strange" or uncommon. In my opinion those boats are remarkably similar, the CK17 being somehow beamier than John's sharpie. The sail area looks more or less the same, both sport a daggerboard, both are flat bottomed. And in the same ballpark is also CMD's Catbird 16...
  8. I'm a long time admirer of the CS17 and I'm probably going to buy a set of plans soon. However, I also have a set of CK17 plans and would like to briefly comment on this topic. Actually there are many similar boat designs around: John's Sharpie from CLC, Ohio Sharpie from Reuel Parker, and others. I remember that the CK17 was being discussed in Jacques Mertens' forum while he was designing it, and he explained why he choosed the flat bottom as opposed to the V-bottom (essentially to get the simplest possible construction scheme). I also remember that a sort of poll was done between the forum contributors and many liked the CS17 better than the CK17 because it looked more "salty". For completeness, it should be said that the CK17 daggerboard has a "kick-up" feature, and that the plans include a pivoting centerboard as an option. Finally, there have been several very favorable reports on the CK17 sailing qualities.
  9. Ahhh, there you are... If I'll ever go along in building the K15, it'll be also because of your fantastic renderings. Which software did you use?
