  1. Greeting Builders, I'm pleased to announce 2 new sets of plans: 1) Sasquatch 15-30 canoe http://www.jemwatercraft.com/proddetail.php?prod=Sas15-30 2) Wood Strip Freedom 15 http://www.jemwatercraft.com/proddetail.php?prod=StripFreedom15 I'm especially excited about this model since it the first wood strip plans offer by JEM Watercraft. Thanks! Matt
  2. I'm prototyping a new set of canoe plans. http://www.jemwatercraft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2854 Also trying to provide objective evaluation of using different grades of plywood. I invite everyone to follow along and comment. Thanks, Matt
  3. http://www.jemwatercraft.com/Trapper.php 2 sizes available.
  4. Frank just switched me over, after about a month of build up, from one of the monster-mega host that was giving me lousy quality and service. Frank went above and beyond to help me out. In fact, I'm sure he's about tired of getting emails from me. : My regulars are reporting much faster page load times and many of the work-arounds I had to do with my old host are no longer needed. I am in your debt Frank. Thank you!!!!!!
  5. That's supposed to be one of the best performing jig saws out there. I was doing some research on them for cutting 3/4" baltic birch with a square edge. I got this whacky notion I could make a nice looking dining chair from laminated layers of 3/4" baltic birch, which is supposed to have no voids and a very clean looking edge grain because it uses interior-grade glue (clear in color). That's the 5x5 size sheet. Might mix in a layer of different colored hardwood in the layers for an accent effect. Anyway, since I don't have my own personal CNC router and or a large enough stable band saw, I thought the jig saw would be nice to prototype with. If it turns out nicely, it'll give me an excuse to buy a nice big band saw. ;D
  6. Greetings builders, We're pleased to announce our latest kayak, the Okwata: http://www.jemwatercraft.com/proddetail.php?prod=Okwata1526 This design fits in the recreational/touring kayak categories. Great for day paddling or weekend camping trips downriver or along the coast. Thanks, Matt JEM Watercraft
  7. Greetings builders, Hope you all are doing well in this time of economic uncertainty. It makes me feel good knowing paddle craft are inexpensive to make and they don't need $40 gas every time you want to use them! That goes for sailboats as well. There are 2 new sizes of the Freedom: 13' and 18'. You can compare the various sizes here: http://jemwatercraft.com/FreedomCompare.php Thanks, Matt JEM Watercraft

  12. Not everyone will agree with you. If someone is being a jerk about disagreeing, then just ignore them. Easier said then done, I know. But don't let a few detractors stand in the way of sharing your hard work and being proud of it.
  13. Greetings Builders! We're please to announce our latest set of kayak plans: the Freedom http://jemwatercraft.com/proddetail.php?prod=Freedom15-4
  14. It wouldn't be the roomiest tandem. But could be set up for a couple lighter paddlers. It's really meant for a solo.
  15. Greetings builders! We taken an older set of plans, the Sasquatch wilderness tripping canoe, and made improvements to make the hull easier, cheaper, and faster to build. We're pleased to present the Sasquatch II: http://www.jemwatercraft.com/proddetail.php?prod=SasII Thanks.
