Can't tell the difference

I was browsing the Kudzu Craft web site and noticed that you have changed the paddling resistance chart format. I was disappointed that it was difficult to tell the difference in the resistance of the boats at low speeds. Then, I realized that the reason it was difficult to tell the difference was because there isn't much difference! The graph is a great improvement.

There isn't a lot of difference at slower speeds. Unless you paddle a lot or you are just very perceptive, it is not obvious. If you paddle two boats side by side for a while and then swap boats, it become very noticeable.  But the original chart numbers made it harder for people to decide and I think sometimes lead people to some bad choices. Focusing on how 'fast' a boat was over what their real needs were.

 

Plus I know the numbers are approximations I really didn't like having 'exact' numbers.
