Here's another tip that can save some time that I use when cutting fibreglass on a flat surface such as cutting tapes or some glass for a specific shape.

Use a rotary cutter instead of scissors

The ones I use are Supercraft brand (about $8-10 bucks each) and you can get them at the hardware. I use them to cut cloths up to 1150 triaxial and they do it easily.
