Guest LeeH Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 We have made a little progress on our new project, a sailing canoe by Paul Fisher. Yesterday they promised us a 50-degree day here in N Texas, but it snowed and stayed in the 30s anyway. I fired up a couple big space heaters in my little shop and started epoxying the seams anyway. Gave her a shave this morning, and I'm going to finish filling in the seams and apply the 2" tape to them today. We left a few ties in both ends til we figure out exactly what we're gonna do there. Guest LeeH Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 The red boat, "Caleb", is the original boat from this design. I believe it was modified a bit, in that the decks were well rounded over. The plans call for a peaked deck, which I think looks better. I've seen one other boat built from Paul's 50/50 drawings. I have some pictures of it, and if you want them, give me an email address and I'll forward them to you. I also have a few construction photos from the original project. Quote
