Location of eyebolts on end of Boom

Hi All,

there does not seem to be any measurement for the rear eyebolt on the boom in the plans. It's the one that the main sheet goes through before going forward to the final eyebolt and pulley. I also need the measurement for the eyebolt that holds the rear lower corner of the mainsail to the boom (tack?)

Anyone got the measurements that they used ?

"Rear corner" indeed! Fintan, the point of the sail fastened at the aft end of the boom is the clew. If you are not rescued soon by others who actually answer your question instead of picking on you (which is more fun), I will unearth the plans and notes. Plans may be vague because most people seem to have done things a bit differently at this point (i.e., adding an outhaul).

I set mine about 4 inches from the end of the boom. The actual placement is not too critical, it just need to br aft of the clew.

sorry 'bout that, I hang my head in shame. I've been out of the water for too long. I'ts been a year and a bit, and will be a bit more.

No fair, Fintan. Nothing worse than remorse to shame the meany (me). I was just busting on you for fun because Jake hasn't provided any good opportunities for a while. Remember, I'm half Irish (and the other side is almost as bad) and my mother marched us to the dictionary for language infractions the way some people were marched to the wood shed for misbehaviour. You noticed that I stayed out of this one! Though I have everything done; I have not drilled the suspect holes! I will wait until I have sails in hand to do that.
