Konrad Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 This got a bit o' the old stink-eye from my whiff. But it was well worth it for the laughs... First off, Easter is the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus, so we don't make any myths about the fact that WE hide the eggs and candy. It's a big fun game, and they love it just the same. So anyway... The nieces and nephews came over with Oma und Opa (German). That's six kids. Between the families we had 200.. Yes, 200 plastic eggs with candy inside them. We live on 3 acres with a ton of landscaping, trees, rocks, berms, etc., so we hid them all outside. Well... I sabatoged about half a dozen of those plastic eggs. LOL I opened them up (and ate the candy, of course..) and filled them with 'other' surprises. One got a handful of gravel. One got dead leaves. One got packed with dirt. One got some river stones. One got a bunch of angry hornets... Oh wait. That was just a dream, the hornet one... As for the real, hard-boiled eggs, we had 2 dozen of those as well. Now as you can imagine, all of this sabatoging makes a guy hungry. So I stopped and peeled one of the real eggs during the hiding part. And low and behold, I drop the stupid thing on the ground. Now it's all full of ground-stuff, and I can't rinse it off and eat it. So what's a guy to do..? I hid it with all the rest. When my 4 yr old found the peeled real egg, he chucked it back down on the ground like it was a snake or something. Total egg-rejection, right there, folks. Anyway, you know that scolding look you get from the whiff when your inner-13yr-old-self comes out...? Yeah, that. ;D Quote
