Apologies if this has already been covered, but I just bought the Small Boats special, and it features a nice review of Ray Frechette-built Core Sounds.  Congrats to both Ray and Graham for getting some wonderful coverage!

I've been surprised as recently as last weekend by a sailor pulling up alongside and asking "Is that a Core Sound? Did you build it yourself?"

I expect the publicity will only increase the frequency of that question.  I'll just keep answering "Sure is.  I'm not really done yet." and pointing at the ugly spots 

You better quit getting interviewed, Ray.  You're putting me over budget on magazines

  Oh - And the secrecy is totally understandable.  Besides the request from the author you never know what's actually going to get into print.  I was almost on a cable sports channel once but things fell apart at the last minute...  I'm glad I didn't tell my grandma I was going to be on TV

That's pretty neat, Ray.  Way to go.  I'm sure you've paid your dues to get to this point.  I just may need to get a copy of the mag - esp. since the CS is on my list of  possible builds.

I just noticed that's you sailing the CS17 on Phil's site in the Casco Bay pics.  His sure is a pretty one.

Good to hear you like how my CS17 looks. Ray did an awesome job. It's not only a wonderful boat to sail, it's a joy to look at.

Unfortunately (or fortunately since I'm a skier) it's dumping snow here in Colorado. I won't be doing any sailing until spring. Here's a shot of Grasshopper in her winter berth.
