Everglades Challenge Team progress reports?

I just sent a contribution for the B and B Yacht Designs Everglades Challenge Team (BABYDECT). I'm proposing BABYDECT as the team acronym.

I've been appreciating the EC22 build updates. I'm hoping that someone could provide occasional updates on this forum on the BABYDECT plans and progress.

I'm wondering about the plans as I may try to make it down for the start of the race as a spectator. :?: I doubt that I will be able to get away during the week. I would be interested to know if there is any support that I could provide on the weekend.

What are the team's tribal names? How about a pic of Graham in a traditional tribal outfit emblazoned on the main? :shock:

I too have been following closely. Any pictures or updates would be greatly appreciated.

BTW the hot tri dropped out of the race. Chief may or may not get his tri done in time. I'm hoping he does. Team RAF with the modified Wa'apa tris look like they will be launching soon.

BABYDECT? Took me a minute to figure that one out. Southern Skimmer is coming along nicely and it looks like we will be ready. One of us will bring a camera today and take a photo. Biggest problem now is that we are running out of dry wood for the stove. Temps in the 40's inside the shop is a drag. Looking forward to a sail in Skimmer. Working sail is the same area as my 22 footer and sailing displacement is less than a third.

Friday is the best day to hang out and meet everyone and check out the boats. Saturday morning is great, but by the time it's light enough to see, the start happens and they're gone. I slept in my truck last year. This year I'll have my camper and dog. I'll also have my power boat, but I think I'll be committed to carrying some photo types for Watertribe. Depending on the weather, 4 is about max for my 16' CC, 3 if it's rough. If there's room you're welcome to come along.
