Basic stitch and glue question

This may seem like a dumb question, but when taping the chine and keel seams on a smaller boat like a catspaw or spindrift, do you use one layer of tape or two?

I've been through the plans several times. It only says tape the seams.

There are a few places like the bulkheads where it does give a lamination schedule, in some places 2, 4 and up to 6 layers.

I would have simply called Graham, but it looks like he is busy this weekend.:D:D

As near as I can tell, he is enjoying a following wind of around 10 knots. Not a real brutal test, but a nice sail just the same.

Definitely only one layer for the smaller dinghys, inside and out.

Yes, on the catspaw models it is one layer inside and one outside -presuming you've used the recommended glass size/weight.

It's a Spindrift 10N, but one layer it was (is?). Anyway, it's taped inside. I doubled the forward bulkhead, and followed the 2-4-6 schedule on the nesting bulkheads. The rest got one layer. Now it's time to flip her over and do the outside.

Was I supposed to throw some kinda party? After I finished today I think you could throw her in the water and she would float. Seems to me that is about the same thing as laying up the garboard on a planked boat, and I thought they have to throw a party when that happens.

Don't really know, but after mixing the better part of half a gallon of epoxy 2 and 3 oz at a time, it's time for a beer.
