Larger jib measurements

I'm not using the club for the jib and was wondering how much larger to make the jib. I calculate a jib area of about 31 sq feet with the stock setup. Another 2' added to the foot takes it up to 41 sq feet, a bit better than a 30% increase. Too much? Not enough?

Any adjustment needed for the leech?

Assuming we are talking a Weekender; Mine measures;

foot - 8' 00"

Luff - 13' 4"

Leach - 12' 00"

Mine was custom made by Ulta Sail and I have yet to try it or rig it. It was basically a custom version of his 'Lapper'. I am thinking it is about 45 sq/ft, though after the move I can't recall where all of my notes went. :shock:

Mine was custom as I added about 2' to the mast stub.

Well the 'std' lapper is 49' so mine must be around 52-54 I think. I am toldwith the light winds we 'generally' have around here it will work fine.
