Seating

I realise I'm getting wayyy ahead of myself again, but I would be interested in any comments that you have with a seating arrangment I've been toying with.

It's sort of half 'enclosed' seating (as per the plan) and half 'exposed' seating (as per some mods I've seen on the site).

I'm thinking of doing this for 2 reasons.

1) Its cheaper? I don't have to cover the aft vertical with wood

2) It still gives 'foot room' for those in the cabin

3) Improved drainage for the cabin/under seat area

Any thoughts will be received with the normal scepticism

I kinda like what Capt. Jake did with "Fire Escape". He left the area below the seats & behind the mid point open. He closed up the Lazerette below the seats and that gives him a completely open space for foot room and loose storage. The space infront of the partition is still open to the cabin.

I'm thinking sort of along those lines with a shallow cooler built into that space next to the hull. Room for a case and some ice. But the front (cockpit side) of it will have foot space on the bottom. The other side will have a storage bin against the hull but still have the front open. Both will have lift lids (seats) to access the space. I also plan on placing a shallow underseat space on both sides. Again this is accessible from the cockpit with lift lids (seats). I also plan on installing a piece of 4" PVC from the bulkhead to the lazerette behind the seat backs. This will be a storage tube open to the cabin. I plan on putting the poles for the awning/tent and the rolled up awning in the tube to store it.
