Last chance before the seat backs go on

I'm about to button up my seat backs, so.... Other than flotation and the stearing gear. Is there anything else such as backing for cleats etc. that should be considered? If so where?

I'm going to put those plastic screw in access hatches into mine. By all acounts its a good idea to have ventialation in there when the boat is stored and possibly this would allow for emergency last minute decisions for backing plates or whatever. If you were to do this, I expect you'd want to cut the holes and glue them in (?) before installing the seat backs on the boat. I should mention that I won't be using floatation (just air) and maybe that would get in the way of any work that could be done in there.

Maybe plan for electrical to the transom. A piece of electrical conduit from the back of the lazerette to the cabin bulkhead maybe wouldn't be a bad idea. Run it along the outer deck stringer. You could run another one to the forepeak just incase you want to get electrical to those areas from the cabin where maybe a electrical switching panel might be located.

Backing plates for cleats is a wonderful idea and should be done before the seat backs are on for sure.

Make sure you have put on your lower rub rail already. If you are just using air as flotation make sure you have a nice wall at the lazaratte, the piece which was supposed to be cut to fit.

Everything that has already been said! I put full lenght and width backing in mine so that i would always have something there to screw into. I attached the lower rubrails after all of the glassing and attaching teh seats, etc.
