Hi: I just looked at a hull that is partially built. This link shows the plan. http://www.tracyobrien.com/moreinfo.asp?id=30 It is fully assembled with the seams epoxied but not yet glassed over the exterior. It is sitting outside and there is visible checking on the marine plywood. I think it is Meranti marine ply. The color has not turned grey, but I am concerned about the checking, it has obviously been in the weather for a little while. I need some input. Can I sand it down and apply a coat of epoxy and then apply the glass? If the ply is weathered, does it indicate the UV will have damaged the epoxy on the seams? This is available quite reasonably and includes all the wood, glass and epoxy to finish it. I am interested unless it is already too far gone. any feed back is appreciated Tim
