It is an ongoing learning process. I broke my Moccasin, as my plywood was false, the grain not running from fore to aft, instead running upside/down! So I have to hunt some new ply and start all over again! As we all love pictures here one describing my mood and situation:) Hope you get it open!

Hi Christopher, we are working on similar projects, I am a little behind, hope to get some progress during the weekend . Good luck with the building! And do send pictures of how your Moccasin project is developing. I also have a dream to build a CS, in the future, hopefully soon . very slow progress.... [attachment=1] [attachment=2] but some pictures as requested think I made a mistake as I think I should have drilled the holes for the plastic wires before I glued all pices to gather! But now I have somehow to manage it afterwards.... Are there some rules how close the holes should be to each other, and how far from the edge should they be drilled? Work is slow partly because the spear time to work on the Moccasin is limited, and I have chosen a slow Epoxy, as I have never before worked with Epoxy. Have a nice day! Kenneth

Hi, have made a slow and dusty start to build a Moccasin 2. Got the plans this week and tried to figure out how to proceed with the plywood. The plans are very good, and the CD gives you a lot of info how the process will go on, nice pictures. Have noticed that the readers of this forums want to see pictures, so I made one after the first session. Out of the dust came 2 plywood pieces that hopefully will get more company and will turn in to a canoe. Picture taken with the mobile phone so the quality is not so good, covers perhaps some of my handwork errors... . hi Wojtek, if the Raid Finland 2008 takes place near Helsinki, there is a good chance that I could be able to visit the camp, and have a chance to admire your BRS in the right element . Will keep an eye on the Raid sites to get hold on the race program and route. I think that the BSR would be a fine boat for us, as we would do day trips in the archipelago, and mainly only in good weather. The Raid Race is also an interesting thing to attend, one should always have dreams and plans for the future... . Hi, I am from Finland and looking for a boat to build, hope to find a secure boat that is good under sail and also good with motor. A huge benefit is easy to rig, as in our neighborhood there is a protected route with a low bridge. BRS15 and CS15 sounds good alternatives. The use of the boat will be archipelago sailing, but also some open water day sailing in good conditions, crew will be 1 - 4. Hope users of both boats can encourage me to choose the right alternative... Best regards Kenneth
