I just bought a second hand never used SHORT SHAFT Honda 2 hp at a price that I could not resist. I was planning to buy a long shaft with the idea of hang it on the transom. Now I AM LOOKING FOR THE BEST WAY TO MOUNT MY SHORT SHAFT 2 HP HONDA ON MY CS 17. Will Bob be so kind to refresh the link. On February 24, 2005 Tim TITAN wrote: "When I build my motor-mount I will post some pictures..." but I am unable to find them. Tim, if you have the pictures will you please publish them in the Forum. On April 6, 2008 "wkisting" published drawing of his motor mount idea. If you have pictures of the finish mount please publish them in the Forum? I would like to place the motor in such a way to avoid that the sprit lines hang in it as I plan to have the motor mount all the time while sailing. All ideas, suggestions and advice will be appreciated.

Any ideas on how to install the forward mast single-handed without having to climb on the deck of the CS 17? I love the looks of the CS 17 with the two varnished bright decks (forward and aft) connected with the side decks. However, for me it could be more practical to get rid of the forward deck in order to be able to install the forward mast without having to climb on top of the deck. I am not as agile as I used to be. Having to walk on the deck carrying the mast is concerning to me. The solution probably entails having to remove part or all of the forward deck (?). But I am afraid that altering the forward bulkhead and (or) the foredeck might affect the boat structurally. However, I am aware that in some boats, the aft deck has been completely eliminated. I already bought the CS 17 construction plan but because of this situation I am having second thoughts. I thank you for your thoughts and for your input.
